RadTech Joins Initiative to Aid Exports

BETHESDA, MD | RadTech, the Assn. for UV and EB Technologies, and the US Commercial Service in the International Trade Administration of the US Dept. of Commerce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to participate in the New Market Exporter Initiative (NMEI) program. The goal of the partnership is to boost awareness of export and partnering opportunities to enable RadTech members to identify new markets for their products and grow their businesses by increasing exports.
RadTech joined the effort as part of its membership with the National Assn. of Manufacturers’ Council of Manufacturing Associations. In 2010 President Obama announced the National Export Initiative with the goal of doubling US exports by the end of 2014. With 95% of the world’s consumers outside of the US, there is obviously vast potential for US businesses looking to boost their international sales. The NMEI connects companies with the US Commercial Service and its worldwide network of trade professionals located in 108 US cities and in US Embassies and Consulates in nearly 80 countries.
The US Commercial Service will launch the RadTech New Market Exporter Initiative at RadTech 2012, being held April 30–May 2 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
