Pitch the Pail
- Published: June 01, 2010
Hood Packaging, Madison, MS, has created an alternative to the cumbersome, energy-wasting plastic pail often used to package detergent, kitty litter, garden products, and pet food. The company has created “The Total Package,” a bulk package that's attractive, economical, portable, pourable, and storable. The laminated bag features glossy or matte ten-color process printing and a patent-pending handle system that allows consumers to lift the bag easily from the waist. It can accommodate weight from 10-50 lb, which is evenly distributed, and has a resealable slide zipper. Less energy is spent on transport costs; the company reports it can ship as many packages on two pallets as can be shipped in a truck full of empty pails. Visit www.hoodpkg.com.
