Sutherland Packaging Names Jake Sutherland as Company’s First Chief Innovation Officer

Seasoned finance industry executive joins Sutherland to steward innovation and accelerate growth.

Sutherland Packaging, a nationwide leader in corrugated point-of-purchase (POP) displays and retail packaging, has hired Jake Sutherland as its first ever Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Sutherland will be primarily responsible for stewarding a culture of innovation and accelerating growth, all while aligning with longer-term business objectives. He will work from the company’s Andover, New Jersey production headquarters.

Part of Mr. Sutherland’s charge will be to identify areas ripe for best practices innovation and, from there, concepting and implementing the necessary methods to drive impactful change. In doing so, he will strive to enhance the company’s overall competitive edge in the corrugated landscape by improving organizational efficiencies and developing new capabilities.

Mr. Sutherland joins Sutherland Packaging with wide-ranging expertise in the finance and banking industry, specifically in policy analysis, systems thinking and process improvement. Most recently, he was an Applied Critical Thinking Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Prior to that, Mr. Sutherland held several other senior-level financial planning and analyst positions.

Mr. Sutherland earned an MBA at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration at George Washington University.
