Mactac Adhesives Use Solvent-Free Technology

STOW, OH | Pressure-sensitive adhesives supplier Mactac has launched a new series of high-tack, acrylic, double-coated tapes and transfer adhesives. Developed with the company’s solvent-free, 100% solids adhesive technology, the series features new MP410 high-tack acrylic adhesive.

An aggressive, high-tack adhesive, MP410 is said to be easy to handle and die-cut and was designed to perform well on a variety of substrates, including ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), polycarbonate, most foams, high density polyethylene, and more.

Company says the MP410 high-tack acrylic adhesive touts low levels of VOCs, migratory compounds, and residuals and delivers numerous benefits to the new product series, including excellent optical properties; adhesion performance superior to many traditional solvent acrylics; outstanding solvent, chemical, and plasticizer resistance; UV resistance; and a wide performance range.

The new product series is available in multiple coat weights with either a moisture-stable, poly-coated kraft (PCK) liner or economical super calendered kraft (SCK) liner and is reported to be ideal for various adhesive tape applications. When stored in original packaging at room temperature, the series has an estimated two-year shelf life.
