Event To Focus on Improvement

RONKONKOMA, NY | The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Assn. will cosponsor the Printing Industries of America's 2011 Continuous Improvement Conference, April 10-13 in Kansas City, MO. The event, now in its 22nd year, focuses on operational excellence and lean manufacturing in the printing and packaging industry.

The conference includes optional tours of Hallmark's Leavenworth production facility and the Harley-Davidson factory.

New this year is the “How-To” Tutorial Track, including sessions on spotting waste, implementing 5S, performing a Kaizen event, establishing effective standard work, avoiding common reasons for the failure of improvement efforts, and connecting a safety program to continuous improvement.
